This song could easily be considered a throwback. It’s not ‘new’- even though it was released on Daughter’s studio album in March and was featured as a free song on iTunes, it’s been around for over a year. It will always be great, though. No one can change my opinion on that.

The lyrics, voice and music all culminate into a very nostalgic sound. This track retrieves many memories from all aspects of my own life. Nowadays, it’s hard for me to listen to because it reminds me of a fantastic play I saw in which this was used. The play chronicled a high school student with cancer, and this song was used in one of the ending scenes… it was the best play I’ve ever seen, and the songs accompanying the act was supreme as well.

This song is especially good for those slower moments when you need to calm down or think things through a tiny bit. I recommend their entire Wild Youth EP- you won’t regret listening to it one bit. In fact, you may even find yourself feeling a little bit of comfort… which is exactly what music is supposed to do.
